Numbers in Ancient Greece

Greeks used numbers first in B.C.600. They used 5 as the assistant base because they wanted to simplify numbers. They show numbers like 5  x 10 or 5 x 10. Their calculations based on addition principle. At tho following you can see some greek numbers.

Roman Numbers

They are similar to Greek numbers. They are so complicated that no one can make hard mathematics calculations. These numbers are made of symbols and they used to not forget the numbers. Nothing more about Roman numbers because it is not a good number system.

Numbers in Mesopotamian Civilizations

Mesopotamia is between Euphrates and Tigris rivers. The Sumerians lived there B.C. 4000-2234. They invent the cuneiform and they start to use numbers in B.C 2500. They used -60 based numbers. Lots of mathematical rule came from that base. Circles have 360 degree. A right triangle has 60 degree for each angle. At the following you can see some Sumerian numbers.

Mayan Numbers

Mayans had really large mathematics and astronomic art architecture and education  knowledge. This is because of their studiousness and their intelligence. Their architects had really good mathematical and trigonometric knowledge and they used it in their buildings such as pyramids and city designs. They used the sun's light, brilliant and this means that they have a big information about astronomy. They made big observatories to make astronomic maps and they did. They made millimetric calculations about days in a year. They also find other planets rotation surrounding the sun. Have a  look at their numbers.

Modern numbers from Islam

In Islamic science world mathematicians used Indian numbers and teach them to Europeans. There are no much about it we use it even now.

Numbers in China

Chinese people start to use numbers A.C. 500. Chinese numbers based on 13 rules. They used 10 based numbers, but their roles made them much easier to calculate against the Greeks and Romans. They can show numbers by addition and subtraction both. They used letters to show numbers and they have different sign for numbers and letters. Their 13 rule gives numbers (1 to 9 and 102 103 104) different letters and make other numbers from them.

Numbers in India

Indian numbers are the beginning of modern numbers. Their numbers symbolized like our numbers. 1 is one because it has 1 angle and all the numbers have that times angles. For hard calculations in this system they used 0 which has no angle. After 0 was found mathematics developed.

History of numbers

Numbers are formed by numerals which are up to 0 to 9. Numbers first used in Ancient Egypt. But how can we know? We know because of rhind papyrus. This papyrus written in B.C 1650 and it is the first geometry book. It is written by Ahmes who was also being in first mathematicians. Egyptian numbers are symbolized by hieroglyphs. Their number system based on 10. Today we use 10 based numbers too.
These are their symbols.1 is a simple line, 10 is a horseshoe, 100 is a snail, 1000 is water lily, 10 000 is a finger 100 000 is a frog and 1 000 000 is a guy who prays in god.

Brain and numbers

Some animals have better capabilities than humans at birth. But humans develop in this area because they have brains and thinking capacity.  It makes all difference with animals. The history of numbers starts here. Because of natural selection we evolved better and other animals can't. The numbers used in different nations with different symbols and with different bases. After certain years the communication enhanced and all nations start to use same symbols and forget their history. Let's look at the history of egyptian numbers.                                                                      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m5ZCPvmqp7E&list=PLyElX5kpGe4zTwtIVZqI9ZjO2SnJUWeQb
